Ilya Harpas is aiming for the top spot in the 2nd and final round of the 2014 Australian Superkart Championship. After coming off a strong showing in round 1 at Sydney Motorsport Park, hopes are running high for the Phillip Island round this weekend.
"We've been trying so hard for so many years" Harpas says. "My Dad has been putting in massive hours over the last two months getting the #29 machine race-ready. I think he's done a fantastic job - absolutely meticulous in his preparation. I can't wait to drive it come Friday."
Although he is confident, Ilya is well aware of his competitors' potential pace this weekend: "There are going to be about 4 really fast guys out there this weekend. In particular, Gary Pegoraro and Russell Jamieson will be especially hard to beat. What's most exciting though is that we have about 5 guys who can run right at the front - which hopefully means some awesome racing"
RedIce Racing would like to thank the Jamieson family for their help this season, along with Ian Williams, Your Amigo, Richards Legal and Apex Management.
The team would also like to thank the series sponsors, Rockpress and Coach Design.
